What if there were more to your pain than you’ve been taught to look for?

Chronic pain can continue even when an injury has healed - and sometimes symptoms can persist without a clear tissue problem.

This doesn’t mean the pain isn’t real. It means there may be more to the story than tissue damage alone.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a different way of looking at pain - grounded in current pain science and practical experience.

The workshop

What we’ll explore

01

Understanding persistent pain

How pain can continue, change, or become more sensitive over time.

02

Rethinking common pain myths

Looking at some familiar ideas about pain, injury and symptoms through a different lens.

03

The brain & nervous system

How the brain and nervous system contribute to the experience of pain.

04

Responding to pain

Ways to approach movement, activity and flare-ups without automatically falling into fear or avoidance.

05

The mind-body connection

An experiential exploration of how attention, expectations and emotions can influence physical experience.

06

Experiential movement practice

A gentle guided practice exploring movement, awareness and responding to physical sensations.

More than information.

This is an opportunity to pause, learn something new about your experience, and explore what might be possible when you stop seeing pain as something you simply have to fight against.

Meet your facilitator

Oryan Werthaim

Chronic Pain Coach · Pilates & Movement Teacher

I’ve spent more than 15 years working with movement, Pilates and people living with pain and physical limitations.

My own experience with chronic symptoms, together with my professional training in movement and pain science, led me to explore a different question:

What if we could understand pain differently - and use that understanding to change how we respond to it?

My role is to guide you through pain education, movement and practical experiences that can help you explore a different relationship with your symptoms.
