My story

As a teenager, I started experiencing headaches that gradually evolved into debilitating migraines.

By my 20s, while dedicating myself to dance, I began to experience occasional lower back pain.
Over time, it became so intense that I could barely walk or get out of bed.

Desperate for relief, I tried everything, physiotherapy, various treatment methods, visits to doctors, massages, spinal manipulation, and even neuro-medication for the migraines.

For a long time, I accepted that pain was just part of being a dancer and part of life. I was struggling with symptoms in my hip, foot, knee, and ankle.
Every time a new symptom appeared, I found myself receiving multiple diagnoses, which led me to believe that something structural must be the cause. I became convinced that my pain and symptoms were all linked to issues like a twisted pelvis, uneven leg length, neck stiffness, muscle imbalances, scoliosis, and bulging discs

But that turned out to be false

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon the mind-body approach, and it completely shifted my perspective. It was through educational and emotional work that I was able to eliminate my pain completely.

Beyond being pain-free, I learned to listen to myself , my emotions, thoughts, and beliefs, understand how my body reacted to unhelpful states and the stress I was putting on myself. I discovered that my nervous system played a huge role in my symptoms; knowing which state my nervous system was in and giving it what it needed to feel safe was a true eye-opener.

It wasn’t just one thing that helped me on my journey; it was a combination of cognitive, behavioral, somatic, and emotional work that became the key factor in my healing.
